Easy Ground Venison Hash

INGREDIENTS

1 lb ground venison

1 small onion, diced

4 to 5 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed (may use more or less depending on desired amount)

1 packet of Lipton Beefy Onion soup mix (or other brand)

Water

DIRECTIONS

Brown ground venison in large skillet. Add diced onions, potatoes, and soup mix. Add enough water to completely cover all ingredients. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cover with lid and continue to simmer, stirring occasionally. Cook until potatoes are tender and all liquids have cooked off. (NOTE: may require additional water during cooking process in order to get potatoes tender).

ADDITIONAL ADD-INS/IDEAS

  1. Turn your hash into an amazing breakfast by stirring into scrambled eggs and topping with cheese! Add a little toast, and you have  the perfect breakfast!
  2. Stir some corn into the hash for a little extra flare.
  3. Cook in crockpot or bake it in the oven for a fix and forget kind of meal No need to stand over the stove. Just brown the venison, mix all ingredients in your crockpot or baking dish and sit back and wait!
